Kickboxing

Kickboxing was born out of frustration in the US in the 1970's. The main reason for frustration was that Karate practitioners or competitors had to restrain themselves from full contact punches and kicks. As a result Kickboxing was introduced so that techniques and forms of Karate could be used with full body contact. This is considered a dangerous sport due to the high risk of injuries, which can become fatal at times. Some of the Kickboxing techniques use shadow boxing, punching, kicking, blocking and breaking of wood, concrete and bricks.
