Kyudo
Kyudo is a Japanese form of Martial art that deals with the bow as its primary weapon. Translated as "The Way of the Bow", it came into practice when the bow became an obsolete weapon. Kyudo was introduced to understand and realize the spiritual aspect behind the art of archery and later on it was developed as a complete Martial art discipline. The moral discipline in this Martial art lies in the concept of Reisetsu or respect for the opponent. The technique of using the bow and the arrow to hit the desired target is based on the creation of a harmony between the mind, body and spirit.
