Muay Thai is also known as Thai Boxing. It is actually a form of kickboxing that has existed for hundreds of years in Thailand and its primary technique uses full body contact punches and kicks. It is regarded as the national sport of Thailand. The translation of Muay Thai means the art of eight limbs. It is said to have been born out of the ancient Martial art of Muoy Boran, which used punches and kicks in a boxing ring. This Martial art uses the hands, elbows, knees and shin to execute an attack.
